While visiting Coralwood, I saw various wheelchairs and walkers in a line for the convenience of the students. Grant also spoke about having to use a wheelchair when his arthritis was first diagnosed. The wheelchair is a commonplace object in the life of those who help others with disabilities. It symbolizes not only limitation but also people's willingness to help one another. This invention was made so that others would be more able to work with traditional society. The fact that these were around Coralwood meant that the staff was fully equipped to help the students if anything were to arise, like broken equipment, sudden injury, or pain in weak parts of the body. In any sense, the wheelchair is something that can be both seen as something that confines another person and something that makes someone substantially more able to function in daily society.
